Introduction
Citizens Advice Peterborough (CAP) plays a crucial role in supporting the people of Peterborough, offering guidance on everything from benefits and budgeting to housing and debt. As a respected local charity, they wanted a modern, accessible, and professional website that reflected their mission and values—while also making it easier for users to find help, learn about volunteering, and stay updated with the latest news.
Mockup
Before development, we created a detailed mockup to visualise the site’s structure, flow, and tone. This helped align with the CAP team on a design that felt clear, welcoming, and accessible to all users. Key pages like the homepage, service listings, and volunteer section were mapped out—ensuring smooth navigation and a user-friendly experience across all devices.

Website Design
We began by crafting a bespoke design in Figma, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and warmth. The goal was to create a platform that felt both professional and approachable—true to the CAP brand and audience. We carefully structured the content to highlight their services, introduce the team, and encourage community involvement. The final design struck a balance between functionality and visual impact, ready for the next stage: Webflow development.

Development on Webflow
Once the design was approved, we built the site in Webflow, ensuring a fully responsive and performance-optimised experience. We incorporated smooth animations and premium interactions to enhance engagement without overwhelming the user—providing subtle movement and transitions that elevate the overall feel of the site.
Content Management System (CMS)
To empower the CAP team, we implemented two custom CMS collections: one for blog-style news and updates, and another to manage volunteer job postings. This allows the internal team to easily update content and opportunities, keeping the site current and relevant without relying on external support.
Conclusion
Our work with Citizens Advice Peterborough resulted in a polished, functional, and modern website that not only showcases their essential services but also strengthens their digital presence. The new platform supports their mission, encourages volunteer engagement, and positions them for greater impact within the local community.
