A1 Sameday Couriers Ltd
A1 Sameday Couriers had grown well beyond the website we first built for them years ago. Brilliant Digital rebuilt it from scratch on a modern, faster platform, wrote all the copy including their SEO-optimised location pages, and freed them from the maintenance package their old WordPress site demanded.

The starting point
and the problem.
A1 Sameday Couriers has been a Brilliant Digital client for over five years. We built their first website back at the start, on WordPress, and it did the job at the time. But a courier company lives and dies by local searches, and the website is the first thing a potential customer sees when they are deciding who to call. Several years on, that first website had started to show its age.
The business had grown, too. What began as a Peterborough operation now covers a string of towns along the A1 corridor. The website had not kept pace. Next to newer, sharper competitor sites it looked dated, and a dated site quietly undersells a business that has genuinely expanded and improved. When someone is comparing courier companies, the one whose website looks modern and trustworthy has already won half the argument.
There was a second problem, less visible but just as real. WordPress needs constant upkeep. Plugins to update, security patches to apply, things that break when they fall out of sync. A1 had been paying a monthly maintenance package for years simply to keep the site safe and running. That is money spent standing still, not moving the business forward.
What they needed was a website that reflected where the business is now: modern, fast, built to win local enquiries, and without the ongoing maintenance bill hanging over it.
How we made
it happen.
We rebuilt the site from the ground up, working closely with Jason and Sally. This was not a migration. We designed and built everything from scratch on a modern platform, leaving WordPress behind entirely. That one decision shaped everything that followed: the speed, the design freedom, and the end of the maintenance treadmill.
The design was built to stand out. Courier websites tend to look the same, so we gave A1 something with real character. As you scroll through the homepage, a delivery van travels a live route from “Get in touch” to “Delivered safely”, with the road drawing itself in behind it. It is the kind of detail a potential customer remembers, and it sets A1 apart the moment someone compares them with another company. Every section is built around conversion and trust, guiding the visitor towards making an enquiry.
We also wrote all of the marketing copy. The most important part of that was the location pages. A1 serves a defined set of towns, so we rebuilt their local pages and optimised each one for the search terms customers in those areas actually use. Done properly, these pages put A1 in front of someone searching for a courier in their own town, rather than competing for generic national traffic.
The new site is fast. It loads quickly, scores well on Google’s Core Web Vitals, and runs on a platform that needs little to no maintenance. There is no plugin stack to keep patched, which means no monthly maintenance package just to stay secure. Once it was live, we gave Jason and Sally a one-on-one training session so they can manage and update the site themselves.

A1 Sameday Couriers now has a website that matches the business they have become. It is modern, fast, and genuinely distinctive. The animated delivery route gives them something competitors do not have, and the whole site is built to turn a visitor into an enquiry rather than just look the part.
The location pages give A1 visibility across their service area, putting them in front of local customers searching town by town. Because the copy was written with both the reader and search engines in mind, those pages work as hard for the business as the rest of the site.
Just as importantly, A1 is off the maintenance treadmill. The new build stays secure and fast without the constant upkeep WordPress demanded, which means the monthly maintenance cost is gone. After more than five years working together, the website finally reflects the quality and reach of the business behind it.
Alex has been looking after our website for 5 plus years now and recently done a complete transformation which is amazing. Fairly priced and would not look at using anyone else.
