How To Generate More Leads For Your Business
So, you have a website, you're getting some website traffic, but you're not really seeing the results that you want. You are in the right place as in this video I will be teaching you how to generate more leads for your business using your website.
Hey guys, Alex from Brilliant Digital here, welcome back to another video where I'll be teaching you how to generate more leads from your website.
Now in case you haven't seen my previous video where I talk about how to generate more traffic to your website, I definitely recommend watching it because at the end of the day you can't generate any leads if you're not getting traffic in the first place.
PS: The text below is a transcription of the actual video.
Now let's jump straight into it.
1. Have a clear CALL TO ACTION
Now what to I mean by that? Think about it. What's the reason you built a website for your business in the first place? You want to grow your business, you want to get more clients, but what's the first step they need to take in order for this to happen? That's exactly what a call to action is, promoting your desired marketing objective. So if you want people to call you, make sure you show your phone number clearly throughout the website. If you want people to get in touch with you to book a consultation or to request a call back, make sure you have a clear button that takes people to a contact form where they can do just that. No matter what your call to action is, make sure you're promoting it on every single page of your website.
2. Build a blog and start writing articles
There are a very small amount of people out there who are ready to buy immediately. But there are more who are still at the initial buying process, the research process, where all they're looking for is just information. This is your opportunity to educate them through articles, position yourself as an expert by offering value, and help them make a decision. Another thing to keep in mind is that people won't come to your website, let's say if you're advertising, unless the commitment to do so is very, very small, as reading an article, for example, opposite to having to buy a product straight away. So that's why, by writing articles you're gonna get much more exposure and more people getting to know your brand which eventually can turn into more customers.
3. Build a sales funnel and promote a lead magnet
If there is one lesson I learned in marketing, is the fact that people buy people, and if people don't trust you, no matter how hard you sell to them they won't buy from you. That's why you need to give them an easier step-by-step approach, you need to give them a taster to prove to them in advance that you can solve a problem. That's exactly where a lead magnet comes in. A lead magnet is an irresistible offer that offers more value than the initial article, and you give that for free to your visitors in exchange for their contact details. A lead magnet can be a free report, a checklist, any sort of PDF document, as long as it's something valuable and it helps the customer solve a problem, and puts then on the right track towards your main product or service.
4. Use Landing Pages
And tip number four, the last one for this video, if you're doing any sort of advertising and you're sending people directly to your website, you're doing it wrong unless you're promoting an article which is totally fine. But if you're promoting your service or any discounts or promotional offers, you need to be sending people to a landing page. While a website has navigation and many buttons that can easily distract the visitor from the main reason they came to your website in the first place, a landing page doesn't have any of that. It has one single path, one single marketing objective, to help you achieve the desired result, whichever that might be for you, to book a consultation, to request a call back, or perhaps to order a free sample, a brochure, whatever that might be.
